Legal
Terms
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply to the Founding Launch Check and to any Launch Truth Report we deliver during the founding pilot. They are written plainly on purpose.
What the service is
LaunchTruth is a scoped product verification service. We take requirements you nominate, exercise them against your running application within an agreed scope, and report each one as VERIFIED, FAILED or NOT VERIFIED with the evidence behind the verdict.
What the service is not
- It is not a comprehensive security audit.
- It is not a penetration test.
- It is not a regulatory certification or compliance sign-off.
- It is not a legal or compliance opinion.
- It is not a guarantee that your software is free of defects.
Results apply only to the scope we agreed, the environment and accounts you provided, the time at which the work was performed, the access we were given, and the evidence available to us. Anything outside that is reported as NOT VERIFIED rather than assumed to be fine.
Application and acceptance
Access to the founding pilot is by application. Submitting an application does not create a contract and does not guarantee acceptance. If your application is a fit, we contact you to confirm the requirements to verify, the environment and access needed, and a test account. That scope is confirmed with you in writing before any payment.
Price and payment
The founding pilot price is $49 if your application is accepted. Nothing is charged when you apply, and nothing is charged before you explicitly approve the written scope.
Your authorization
By providing an environment, URL or test account, you confirm that you own it or are authorized to permit testing of it, and that you accept responsibility for backups and for any effect testing may have on that environment. We test only the systems you authorize. We do not test third-party systems you do not control, and we may pause or decline work if authorization is unclear.
Confidentiality
We treat what you share with us as confidential and use it only to assess your application and perform the agreed work. Please do not send passwords, API keys, tokens or other secrets through the public application form; access credentials are arranged separately for accepted pilots.
Timing
Stated delivery times, including the typical 48-hour target after scope and access are confirmed, are targets rather than guarantees. If a scope will take longer, we tell you before we start.
Limitation of liability
This is an early-stage pilot service offered at a nominal price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from issues that were outside the agreed scope or not observable with the access and evidence available. You remain responsible for the decision to launch your product and for acting on the findings we report.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the pilot evolves; the version published here at the time your scope is confirmed applies to that engagement. Questions: hello@launchtruth.com.
